Getting to Vieques

The island is a 40-minute flight from San Juan, and a 20-minute flight from Fajardo, on Vieques Air Link (888/901-9247 or 747/741-8331; vieques-island.com). A cheaper option is to take a ferry from the port in Fajardo. The trip takes roughly an hour and costs $3; for more info, contact the Puerto Rico Ports Authority (787-863-0705).
