T+L Reports: Amsterdam After Dark

The multilevel Odeon (460 Singel; 31-20/521-8555; www.odeonamsterdam.nl), along Amsterdam's Singel Canal, is a playground for sophisticates who like their culture by day and their cocktails by night. The owners of the city's chic Hotel Arena have taken a 1662 landmark building and given it a glam makeover, with lots of red velvet and Michel Olden's larger-than-life fashion photos. Start with a classical concert in the main hall, followed by fillet of dorado in the café, then head upstairs to the dance floor, where DJ's spin until dawn.
